Can you believe it's almost 2 months of 2022 already?? Madness. Honestly how quick the months are flying past it's enough to get your hair in a twist! However, fear not my lovelies as I Lauren, feel I have found the perfect combination of haircare products to maintain the frizz well in advance for Spring & Summer- I am shoook with my results, and I just had to share these potions with ya!! Because frizzy hair just ain't the one, babe.
IT ALL STARTED WITH A SHOWER...
All good frizz control begins in the shower! The different products we put in our hair from the shampoos, conditioners, masks. They all pave the way for the final outcome however, getting the right "cocktail" of hair products can be tricky as sometimes we can be undergoing it or overdoing it (over masking and conditioning = greasy hair is not frizz control, eww) and no doubt we use a mixture of brands hoping for a great - yet complicated - outcome.
I honestly can not stress enough, 1 thing I learned whilst banishing the frizz? Stick with the 1 brand! Brands have their matching shampoos and conditioners for a reason as, *spoiler alert* they are supposed to work together- who knew?? We are all guilty of brand mixing thinking it will trump it all but 9/10 we will be left distraught and feeling like we are destined for frizzy locks. Now, just because this brand worked for me doesn't mean it's an automatic win for you as everyone responds differently but, it is definitely worth a try!
John Frieda's line of haircare products has honestly won my heart (sorry Lewis xo) they are the gift that just keeps on giving to us frizzy gals. For me, using their Brazilian sleek shampoo & the Flawlessly straight conditioner has given me the perfect foundations for when wanting to achieve a sleeker, straighter doo which is ehh, always!

THE MAIN EVENT
Now that you have your foundations to frizz-free heaven, you need to take extra care when drying your hair. Most of us tend to skip the heat protection step when drying our hair as, well, it's effort?? But using these 2 products before drying your hair really will change your life.
First, I spritz Aussie 'SOS' Heat Saviour over my hair, always shaking my fingers lightly through my hair after to ensure it spreads then spritzing the John Frieda's 3 day straight spray (this one is the game changer FYI) and begin to dry my hair as normal and once it's dry? My au-natural frizzy and messy hair is now replaced with straight and glossy looking locks- it's insane!!
I have been using the 3 day straight spray for a few months now, every time I wash/dry my hair and when I first purchased this wonder spray I didn't expect much from it... and now it's worthy of product of the year in my eyes it's the absolute BOLLOCKS. It leaves your hair silky straight and I can easily wear my hair down without straightening it now for day to day things! Sure, it's not straightener-straight, but it looks cute and it stays that way til my next wash- amazing!
AFTER WE STYLE
So you've straightened your hair or perhaps your rocking some sexy curls, babe... Now, how do we frizz-proof them? 2 products come into play here that you can pair together, or use 1 of the other. When I need extra frizz-proof (warmer weather) I use 1 before styling and the other after styling and have found this to be really beneficial in giving me the smooth hair I deserved when I came out the womb but got cheated out of xo
If you want to do the 2 step method I mentioned above, here's the low down:
Step 1
Before styling I take 1 pump of John Frieda's (he really is the man ain't he??) Frizz-ease, Weightless Wonder Creme, rub it into both hands and apply gently through my hair from half way down to tip. With the excess, I gently go over the frizz-prone areas such as the face frame and sideburns, and any fly away roots to flatten them down.
Step 2
The oil mentioned in step 2 is absolutely amazing and makes my hair feel - and look - satin smooth. When styling my hair straight, this makes my hair look another level of straight! and makes my hair look extremely healthy which I honestly thought was only ever possible with expensive hair masks. When working the oil through curls, it adds much needed shine and makes the curls look more natural.
VAIN GAL TOP TIP:
In the warmer weather I tend to carry the weightless wonder creme around in my bag with me (although Superdrug tend to do mini travel versions) as it's amazing for on the go use as with the sun, assuming we yano, actually get sun, nothing is going to keep your locks frizz-free all day. This creme is perfect for maintaining your hair regardless of the style it's in! It also works as a great de-tangler for sun-casualty curls, too.
